I am a graduate student researching how organisms survive extreme water loss. My interest lies in the molecular and genetic mechanisms of desiccation tolerance and how these stress responses evolved. After a few years of focusing on general cell biology, I’m now narrowing my research to the specific pathways that allow life to persist under severe environmental pressure.
